I-Cybie is a real pair of the first robot dog Aibo, but much cheaper. Created in 2001 by Silverlit (and distributed by Hasbro, also in Italy) was a real commercial success, now back again for sale overseas. I-Cybie is a mix between a toy and an automaton, the result of extensive research and experimentation. It weighs 2 pounds and whose height is thirty centimeters. I-Cybie can behave like a dog in the flesh, perceived barriers, scans the surrounding environment, you know, from where the sounds, you notice the light changes, as well as movements in the same room where he is found. Eight can recognize voice commands and responds when called by name, gives his paw, wags his tail, gets up when he falls and scratches his ear. His behavior and his personality is changing and so is able to learn and follow hundreds of movements and games. The natural movements and personality make the I-Cybie robot dog for those who will not or can not afford to spend four times to buy a pet Aibo. I-Cybie also has a remote control for rapid training and execution of various exercises and animations (the remote control can not be used because the robot has a real autonomy). The characteristics of the new I- Cybie again produced by Silverlit have remained unchanged for the new puppies in 2005, although it does include a new extended life battery, a charging station for the dog without removing its battery and a downloader to change the personality of the robot and discover exciting new features and capabilities of movement.
